Poem: Victorious

Like a cloud you hung over

Dark and black and ugly

Hoping to kill my joy

Seeking to destroy me

Yet still I stand tall

Strength in my body

Pride in my mended heart

Smiling, though I’m bloody

On the field of battle

I prevailed against my foe

Savage and evil my enemy

Still the truth did show

And in the end I yet stood

My nemesis left in shame

Victorious, banner waving

Honor burning like a flame
